Bank Farm, in the tiny village of Robeston Wathen, is virtually on the Landsker Line which marks the boundary between the English speaking south and the Welsh north. Looking at a map you can see the pronounced difference in place names and when walking the many routes along the line you will notice the difference in the landscape between the better agricultural land to the south and the wilder land to the north, more suitable for dairy, beef cattle and sheep rearing.
A short drive away you can visit
Tenby and Saudersfoot, for a traditional day by the seaside are only 20-25 minutes drive away.
A little further an you can explore the fabulous beaches of south Pembrokeshire including Manorbier, great for surfing and overlooked by one of the many well preserved castles located across the county. Further west are the quite stunning beaches of Bafafundle, regularly voted in the top ten of beaches in the UK, our personal favourite Broadhaven South and Freshwater East and West. East has easy access for sheltered swimming and boating. West is more wild, great for surfing and recently used as a film location for Mel Gibson's Robin Hood and Harry Potter and the Last Hallows', the last film in the series, featuring the Shell Cottage.
St. Davids, the smallest city in the UK is 40 minutes drive further west with the majestic Newgale Beach and picturesque fishing village of Solva to explore on route.
To the north are the Preseli Hills, the back bone of Pembrokeshire, exciting to traverse in all seasons and on to the rugged coastline of Dinas and Strumble Heads and the wild sweep of Newport Sands.
From Bank Farm you can tick off lengths of the Pembrokeshire coast path, be it from Amroth to Tenby in the south or Porth Gain to Fishguard in the west. You will not be disappointed by the breathtaking scenery and unspoilt landscapes.
